How it Works
motorstaff.com is a valuable 'tool' for the Motor Trade jobseeker. It's very easy to use and in just a few minutes you can be submitting job applications to any advertised vacancy. To use all of the website features, such as identifying advertising employers or to submit job applications you must first complete a simple one-time registration with the service.
Getting Started: Firstly click on the 'Sign Up' button on the menu to the left. This will take you to 'Step 1' of the registration process. This procedure will only take a few minutes but care should be taken to ensure all required information is entered accurately. For simplicity, we have provided a system of check boxes and drop down menus. Lastly you are automatically taken to the 'Email Jobs Alert' page. Although this is an optional feature, we highly recommend its use as it will alert you, by email, to any suitable new jobs that are added to the website.
That's it, registration is complete and you have now created your personal motorstaff.com account!
A word about email addresses: It is very important to only enter a valid and correct email address,
any errors will severely limit the effectiveness of the motorstaff.com system.
'Hotmail' email addresses: If you use a Hotmail address please keep in mind the time limitations
of a Hotmail account. If you do not regularly check your email, the Hotmail account will become
'inactive', resulting in important email being returned to the sender. An inactive account will
require reactivation.
Searching for a Job: To search the database of jobs click on the 'Job Search' button on the menu to the left. You can search by Job Title/Skills and/or Location. You may also search using the ID number of a particular vacancy. A successful search will list all jobs that match your search terms. Click on the 'Job Title' to display full vacancy details.
Applying to a Vacancy: If you wish to apply to a vacancy, simply click the 'Apply' button in the 'Vacancy Details' page. Enter all required information in the 'Apply to Vacancy' page and click 'Ok'. Your application is immediately emailed to the relevant employer, in seconds!
Please Note: All job applications must include your CV. You may add it to your motorstaff.com account at any time by clicking on the 'My CV' menu button. To add your CV either type your information into the relevant CV boxes or, if you have an existing CV document, copy and paste your information into the CV boxes. Use of the CV template headings is optional, delete as required. You may revise your CV at any time by clicking the 'Edit CV' button in the 'View CV' page.
